About us

Tired of travelling and not getting to know the locals to detail? “The Other Side” is a company with organized Tours in Porto & Northern Portugal, whose main goal is to show the other side of tourism!

More and more people travel with less time but more willing to get to know a city or a destination most traditional and authentic characteristics in detail. For this reason, “The Other Side” offers a set of tours with various themes, in order to show the other side of Porto and regions that surround this magnificent city, the most authentic and true side of our culture, traditions and customs, with an insight of the local heritage and the people who inhabit this unique country.

We offer tours not only in Porto but also Half Day and Full Day Tours in Viana do Castelo and Vila do Conde, Barcelos, Guimarães or São João da Madeira, showing the best of our gastronomy, our history , our culture, religion and even handicraft. Ever imagined doing a tour inside a shoe factory or handmade pencils? Or visiting a factory of traditional Sponge Cake, with a proof in the end? Relaxed, like a group of friends, each Tour is a new experience of a real contact with the best of Portugal: “The Other Side Tourism Company” – Tours with a View from a Local.

About Us

Much more than a Tour Company:

“The Other Side” is much more than a Tour company. It is also a social project: through visits and tours we do, we foster partnerships with small businesses and local authorities. Starting in the small pastry that sells the best and most authentic “pastéis de nata” in Porto, to the cozy and familiar restaurant that receives us during a tour, our mission is to contribute directly for the social and economic enrichment of our country and for the revelation of certain places, cities and people that really define our culture.
